Virginia L. Kooiker, 61, of Hull, died Monday, October 17, in a hospital in Rock Valley after a long; illness. Services were 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, October 19, in Hull. The Rev. Phillip Sneller officiated. Burial was in Hope Cemetery. Mrs. Kooiker, the former Virginia Sipma, was born December 20, 1926 in Hull and was a lifetime resident.

She married Arthur R. Kooiker June 15. 1945. in Hull. She was a member of the American Reformed Church. Survivors include her husband; three sons. Quentin of Marshalltown, Vincent of Alton and Wesley of Boyden; three brothers, Stuart Sipma, of Palm Desert, California, Allen Sipma of Hinton and Keith Sipma of Hull; and five granchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers , Richard and Quentin Sipma.
