Last Rites Today For Mrs. Koning Funeral services, will be held today Thursday for Mrs. Fred Koning 88, long time resident of Rock Valley, who died In Sioux Falls on Monday of this week. The services will be held at the Christian Reformed church Rev. H. Kuiper officiating Burial will be at the local cemetery.

Born Willemina Kooima in the Gemeente Bedem Groningen, Netherlands in 1859, Mrs. Koning spent her youth in that region. .She married John Hendriks in 1878 and to this union were born seven children: Lambert of Detroit, Mich.; Klaas and John of Rock Valley; Henry of Sioux Falls, and Mrs. Detmer Hubbling of Valley Springs;, S. Dak. Two children died in infancy Mr. Hendriks died in 1899 and in 1907 she was united in marriage to Fred Koning. It was this year that she came to Rock Valley.

Mrs. Koning leaves, in addition to her children, 23 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
