Arie L. Koole, 64, of rural Sheldon died Thursday, June 17, at his farm. Services were Monday, June 21. At 1:30 p.m. at First Reformed Church In Sheldon with the Rev. James S. Boogerd officiating. Burial was at East Lawn Cemetery In Sheldon.
Koole was born November 19, 1928. near Sheldon, the son of Cornelius and Elizabeth (Blok) Koole. He attended the Bell School and Sheldon High School, graduating in 1946. He farmed with his father until entering the United States Air Force in 1951. After serving four years, he returned to farming. He married Corene Vander Stoep Warner at Orange City on August 8. 1957. They continued to farm near Sheldon. He was a member of First Reformed Church and William Monster Post 272 and the "Forty and Eighthunit of the American Legion of Boyden. He had been a member of the Sioux County Fair Board for 24 years and was still a beef superintendent for the Sioux County Youth Fair. He was also a member of the Sioux County Zoning Commission.
Survivors Include his wife; stepson, Frank Warner III of Maple Plain, Minnesota; son Neal and his wife Kay of Orange City; two sisters, Anamae Vasquez of Denver, Colorado, and Ingetta Tutje of Sioux Falls; two granddaughters; a niece; and five nephews.
