Mrs. Ben Koops died at her home in South Sioux Center at 6:45 Friday Fob. 10 following several months of Illness. Funeral services were held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at the home and al 2 o'clock at the First Ref. Church with, the Rev. L.A. Brunsting In charge. Burial ws« made In the family lot in Sioux Center Cemetery.
Mrs. Johanna Volkers Koops was born on Nov 20, 1861 in Oudebroek, Holland and grow to young womanhood in this community. In 1892 she was united in marriage with Mr. Ben Koops and the first years the young Couple made their home In Holland. They migrated to the United State in 1920 and arrived in Sioux Center on July 3 of that year residing here since that time.
Two sons were born to their union, William of Sioux Center and Cornelius of Doon. There are 13 grandchildren, one sister and one bother still living In Holland also survive:
Deceased was highly respected here and was a home maker and mother whose first thought was her home and family. She was a life long member of the Reformed church and lived within its precepts. Pall bearer were S. Van Dokkumhurg, Win. Cleveringa, Peter De Lange, Henry DeGroot, Jake VerMeer and Tim L. Rens.
