Elsie Koolbeck

Elsie Koolbeck, 82, of Fort Collins. Colorado, and formerly of Sioux Center, died Wednesday, May 13, at a nursing home in Fort Collins. Services were at 10 a.m. Monday, May 18, at Central Reformed Church in Sioux Center with the Rev. Dennis Wilcox officiating. Burial was in Concord Cemetery at Garner.

The former Elsie Juffer was born August 7, 1909, in Sioux Center. She graduated from Sioux Center High School and taught country school. She married Jacob J. Koolbeck May 26. 1931. in Sioux Center. She helped her husband in the meat market business and was a bookkeeper and administrator at a nursing home. He died June 5. 1963. She was a member of Central Reformed Church in Sioux Center.

Survivors include a daughter, Corinne Peck of Fort Collins, Colorado; a son, Richard Koolbeck of Cedar Rapids; two brothers, Elmer and James Juffer, and two sisters, Mary De Vos and Kathryn Grooters, all of Sioux Center; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
