Martin Kooistra laid to Rest

Martin Kooistra, Sr. long time resident of Sioux County was laid to rest (Hope Cemetery Hull) Wednesday in the Hull cemetery. Mr. Kooistra had been ill for over a year with Bright’s Disease.

He was born 1856 in the Netherlands and came to America about thirty years ago settling near Hull where he was living at the time of his death. Mr. Kooistra is survived by his widow (Anna Jellesma 1856-1947) and by six children. Four children including a set of twins have preceded him in death.

Funeral Services were held Wednesday at the home and at the Christian Rev. Church in Hull, Rev. Haan officiating.
