Mrs. James Korver, 62, died Saturday evening September 13, 1980 at the Dickinson County Hospital, Spirit Lake, Iowa following a sudden illness. Marian was born June 28, 1918 in Orange City, Iowa, the daughter of Gerrit and Lydia Noteboom. On June 25, 1940 she was married to James Korver in Orange City.

Marian, a life long resident of Orange City, was employed at the Sioux County Court House working in the Clerk of Courts Office. Mrs. Korver graduated from Orange City High School and also attended Northwestern College. She was a member of the American Reformed Church.

Services will be held Tuesday, September 16 at 10:00 a.m. in the American Reformed Church. Rev. Calvin Rynbrandt will officiate. Special music will be provided by Mrs. Gerald Korver who will sing' "My God and I". "O Perfect LoVe" will be sung b'y the congregation. Organist will be Dr. Rodney Jiskoot. Casket Bearers will be Joel Korver, Jeff Korver, Gerry Korver, Gregg Korver, Gerald Korver,and Lawrence Korver. Interment will be in West Lawn Cemetery under direction of Van Gelder Funeral Home, Orange City.

Survivors include the husband, James; two daughters, Mrs. Don (Mary Lou) Vander Wei of Orange City and Mrs. Robert (Kay) Myers of Ankeny; one son, Robert of Orange City; five grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Ira (Gladys) Tarbell of Houlton, Maine.
