Matilda Korver

Matilda Korver, 89, of Sioux Center died Saturday, January 20, at the Sioux Center Hospital Wing. Services are at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 24, at First Reformed Church in Sioux Center with Dr. Thurman Rynbrandt officiating. Burial will be in Memory Garden Cemetery in Sioux Center.

The former Matilda Muyskens was born October 18, 1901, at Alton. She lived her youth in the Alton area and attended school in Floyd Township schools. She married William M. Korver in Alton February 12, 1925. The couple lived in Hospers, Alton, Le Mars and Sioux Center. She was a member of First Reformed Church, the Mary Circle of the church and WCTU.

Survivors include her husband; four sons, Calvin of Alton, Dr. Adrian of Sheldon, the Rev. Harold of Paramount. California, and Willard of Tulsa, Oklahoma; four daughters, Jeneva Hofmeyer of Sheldon, Harriet Brouwer of Teaneck, New Jersey, and Gladys Vander Berg and Arloa Te Stroete of Sioux Center; one brother, Dick. Muyskens of Edgerton, Minnesota; and one sister, Wilmina Somsen of Orange City.
