Funeral services for Egbert Wegter, who passed away Monday, were held today (Wednesday) at the Holland Home for the Age at 1:30 P.M., and at the First Reformed Church a half hour later. Interment was made in the East Lawn Cemetery. Rev. Jean A. Vis officiated at the services.

Egbert Wegter was born March 8, 1852 in the Netherlands. In 1878 he married Miss Faunie Timmer from which marriage seven sons were born. Six years after their marriage the family came to America and settled near Hospers, where Mr. Wegter engaged in farming for more than 40 years.

Mrs. Wegter died five years ago and three of the sons also preceded him in death. Seven years ago Mr. Wegter retired from active work and came to the Sheldon Holland Home where he found a place of retirement in his old age.

Four sons and also 20 grandchildren mourn his loss. The children are: Henry Wegter of Boyden, Gerrit Wegter of Hull, John Wegter of Sheldon and Joe Wegter of Long Beach, California.
