Jacob "Jack" Termaat, 68, Rock Valley, died Friday, July 13, 1990 at the Hegg Memorial Home in Rock Valley.

Mr. Termaat was born April 2, 1922 in Rock Rapids. He served in the Marines from Feb. 28, 1944 until August 4, 1946, during World War II.

He married Angie Vander Veen on Oct. 6, 1948, in Delavan, Wis. The couple lived in Delavan, where he worked for the Gettzen Music Company and later the Allied Music Company. He retired in April 1987. They moved to Rock Valley in July of 1987.

Survivors include his wife, Angie; three sons, Robert, Delavan; Philip, Davenport; and James, Hasbrouck Heights, N.J; a daughter, Pamela Termaat, Rock Valley; six grandchildren; a brother, William "Bud" Rock Valley; and seven sisters; Mrs. Arie (Kathryn) Van Tol, Rock Valley; Mrs. Gerrit (Winnie) Visser, Ontario, Calif.; Mrs. John H. (Gertie) Van Engen, Ireton; Mrs. R. (Coba) Mulder, Doon; Mrs. Herman (Tillie) Bork, Luverne, Minn.; Mrs. Ralph (Henrietta) Oostra, Hull; and Mrs. Alvin (Evelyn) Huisman, Holland, Mich.

Services were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday July 16, at the Trinity Christian Reformed Church in Rock Valley. Burial was in Hillside Cemetery in Doon.

Visitation was held at Porter Funeral Home in Rock Valley.
