Born: November 10, 1901 Sioux Center, Iowa
Died: December 30, 1989 Orange City, Iowa

G. Neal Schoep 88, of Hospers died Saturday, December 30, at Orange City Municipal Hospital following a long illness.

Graveside services were at 1:15 p.m. Monday January 8, at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Sioux Center. A memorial service followed at 2 p.m. at First Reformed Church of Hospers with Rev. Mike Pitsenberger officiating.

Schoep was born November 10, 1901, at Sioux Center. He was raised in Sioux Center and attended schools there. He married Esher Johnanna Beernink March 26, 1924, at Sioux Center. The couple farmed near Carmel and Sioux Center and moved to Hospers in 1944.

He was a member of First Reformed Church of Hospers, where he served as deacon and elder.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Mildred and Howard Van Oort of Ireton and Phyllis and Lee Heiliger of Sheldon; a brother, John Schoep of Montevideo, Minn.; and four sisters.
