Mrs. Susan Watterson, age 54, of Alton, passed away on Sunday, April 30, at the Orange City Municipal Hospital.

There will not be any service of visitation.

Arrangements are with Oolman Funeral Home in Orange City.

Susan Kay was born December 24, 1951, in Sioux City, the daughter of Robert and Margaret Oviatt. She was raised in Sioux City, Iowa

In 1965, she married Howard Lee Watterson in Elk Point, South Dakota. They lived in many different places, settling in Alton about 1998. Mr. Watterson passed away on June 30, 2001, in Orange City.

Mrs. Watterson was a homemaker and was employed in various occupations. She enjoyed attending Senior Center Bingo in Sioux City.

Survivors include her two sons and their wives, Chris Allen and Melonie, of Clarksville; and Joseph Lee and Kaylene, of Alton; and eight grandchildren.

She also had a daughter, Janna Rae who was adopted by another family.

In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by a brother.
