Harry Akin, 45, of Dekalb, Ill. brother of Dr. J.E. Akin of Hawarden died unexpectedly from a heart attack while eating his dinner Monday of last week,

Funeral services were held the following Thurs. morning at the Catholic Church in DeKalb.

Mr. Akin was born April 10, 1914, on a farm between Hudson and Rock Valley. He graduated from the Rock Valley high school and was well known in the Hawarden vicinity.

Mr. Akin, an electrician by trade was an active member of the Knights of Columbus.

He is survived by the widow and four children, three sons, ages, 14, 12, and 9 and a daughter, 10 months of age. His mother, Mrs. Kate Akin of Rock Valley; two sisters, Mrs. C.J. Schroeder of Rock Valley and Mrs. Emil Marcheschi of Dekalb, and brother, Dr. J. E. Akin.
Dr. Akin and Dr, and Mrs C J Schroeder were among those attending the funeral.
