MRS. GERRIT KOERSELMAN

Mrs. Emma Koerselman passed away unexpectedly Thursday afternoon at her home. She died at the
age of 57 years, 5 months and 10 days. Mrs. Koerselman was united in marriage to Gerrit Koerselman on January 7, 1915. After their marriage they farmed near Middleburg until 1947 when they moved to Sioux Center.

Mrs. Koerselman is survived by her husband and the following children, Cornelius, Gary, Teneva, Mrs. William Kroon, Gerdena, Mrs. Marion Wissink; Esther, Mrs. William Plantage and Clifford. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren. Mrs. Koerselman was the only child of Mr. and Mrs. Cornelius Smit except one daughter who died in infancy.

She was a member of the First Reformed church and Women's Missionary Society. She was a sincere devoted Christian mother and her passing is a loss to her family and many relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Monday, October 12 at 1:00 at the home and 1:30 at the First Reformed church of Sioux Center with Rev. P. A. De Jong officiating. Burial was in the Middleburg Cemetery under the direction of the Vander Ploeg Funeral Home of Sioux Center.

The pall bearers were Cornelius Koerselman, Gary Koerselman, Clifford Koerselman, William Kroon, Marion Wissink and William Plantage.
