Otto Schoeneman, a resident of the Sheldon vicinity for the past 58 years, passed away at 9 o'clock Saturday morning following a lingering illness. He had reached the advanced age of 77 years. He was engaged in farming for many years but retired about 10 years ago and since then had resided in Sheldon. He is survived by his wife and three children, Mrs. Fred Meyers of Shenandoah, Iowa; Mrs. Oscar Kohn of San Francisco, Calif., and Verne Schoeneman of Sheldon. There are also four grandchildren. He is also survived by four brothers and two sisters; Robert Schoeneman of San Francisco, Calif.; F.B. and J.H. C. Schoeneman of Hawarden; A.C. Schoeneman of Sioux Falls; Mrs. A.F. Steffen of Hull, and Mrs. J. H. C. Baumann of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Funeral services were held at the home in Sheldon at 1:30 Tuesday afternoon and at the Methodist Church at 2 o'clock. Interment was made at Sheldon. Those from here who attended the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. F.B. Schoeneman, Mr. and Mrs. J.H.C. Schoeneman, Mrs. D.N. Steffen, Chet Schoeneman and Mrs. Harry Lankhorst.
