Bessie Vander Kamp, 94, of Sheldon, died Monday, August 12, at a hospital in Sheldon.

Services were at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, August 14, at the First Christian Reformed Church in Sheldon. The Rev. Jerome Julien officiated and burial was in East Lawn Cemetery in Sheldon under the direction of the Andringa Funeral Home.

Mrs. Vander Kamp, the former Bess Vander Ley, was born February 18, 1891, in The Netherlands. She came to Orange City when she was two years old, and later attended the Orange City School. She married Harm Vander Kamp and they made their home in Sheldon. Mr. Vander Kamp preceded her in death.

Survivors include two sister, Mrs. Tena Fisher of Sheldon, and Janet Lewon of Omaha, Nebraska.
