Funeral services for Anthony Roskam Sr., 80, of Rock Valley, father of Leonard Roskam of Hawarden. who died Monday at a Sioux Falls hospital from injuries he suffered in an automobile accident five miles south of Rock Valley on a county road, on August 6, were held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. in the Porter Funeral Home in Rock Valley. Rev. J. Van Zweden, pastor of The Netherlands Reformed Church officiated. Burial was in Valley View Cemetery.

Still hospitalized following the accident is Mrs. Roskam.

Mr. Roskam was born May 27, 1885, in The Netherlands and came to the United States at an early age.

He married Sophia Rozeboom on July 7, 1915, at Alvord, Iowa, and they farmed in that vicinity unti retirinig to Rock Valley in 1957.

Survivors include the widow; six daughters, Mrs. Tony Van Hill of Alvord, Mrs. John Kuiper of Hudsonville, Mich., Mrs. Gertie Dumoed of Rock Rapids, Mrs. Jake Van Voorst of Lester, and Mrs. John Vander Weide and Mrs. John Zomer both of Sioux Center; five sons, Dick of Rock Rapids, Gerrit of Sioux Center, Anthony Jr. of Des Moines, Leonard of Hawarden, and Cornie of Hospers; one sister in The Netherlands; 37 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
