Bouke Wierda of Hull, who had been in the Orange City Pioneer Home for 8 years died at Grossman Hospital January 14, at the age of 89 years.
Funeral services were held Friday from the Pioneer Home in charge of Rev. Duffelje, who also conducted a short service at Hull Cemetery, where burial took place beside his wife who died 9 years prior.

The following nephews of the deceased were pallbearers; Jake De Jong, Clarence De Jong; Luke J. Brunsting, George De Groot, Pete Kroese and John Jeltema. Rev. Duffelje and relatives had lunch at the John Heusinveld home after the burial service.

Mr. Wierda had several friends in Hull who often called on him at Orange City. He did janitor work when in Hull and was janitor of the First Reformed Church, Christian Reformed Church and Christian grammar school.
