Final Services Held Monday For Mrs. Wegner, 52

Mrs. Albert Wegner, 52, a lifelong resident of this community, died at her home in Hawarden Saturday following a lingering illness.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon in the Methodist church with Rev. S. A. Kruschwitz officiating. Mrs. Ralph Gregg, Jr., with Miss Alma Rexwinkle as accompanist, sang "Face to Face" and "My God and I." Burial was in Grace Hill cemetery under the direction of the Barnard Funeral Home.

Pall bearers were John Klumb, R. A. Patrick, Harlan Bradley, L. R. Carsten, Harold Hass and Ralph Gregg, Sr.

Ruth Brunskill, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Brunskill, was born April 5, 1902, and grew up on a farm near Hawarden. Later her parents came to Hawarden to live. She was graduated from Hawarden high school and also attended Iowa State Teachers college at Cedar Falls. She taught school for one year.

In May of 1930 she was married to Albert Wegner and after her marriage she again lived on the farm. About three years ago she became seriously ill and two years ago the family came to Hawarden to live.

Mrs. Wegner was a member of the Methodist church in Hawarden and was active in church and community work until her illness.

Survivors include the widower; three children, Creighton, who is in the air force and stationed in Sioux City, Gwendolyn, a teacher in the Hawarden public schools, and Audrey, a student nurse in the Methodist school of nursing in Sioux City; one sister, Mrs. Vera Hambleton of Dayton, Iowa, and one grandson.

Kan., Mrs. Richard Nordstrom of Harcourt, Neb., Mrs. Frank Ackerman and Lloyd Hambleton of Fort Dodge, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Keating of Hartford, S. D., Mr. and Mrs. Matt Keating of Montrose, S. D., Mr. and Mrs. Seymour Easthouse of Brandt, S. D., Mr. and Mrs. George Baldwin of Waterville, Minn.
