Grace Wielenga, 88, died Thursday, Jan. 1 at the Heritage House, Orange City, following a brief illness.

Services were held Saturday at the First Christian Reformed Church. Rev. Nelson Kloosterman officiated. Burial was in West Lawn Cemetery under direction of the Van Gelder Funeral Home, Orange City.

Mrs. Wielenga was born Dec. 25, 1898 at Orange City, the daughter of Gerrit and Etta (De Jager) Kroeze. She married Jacob L. Wielenga on Nov. 27, 1917 at Orange City. The couple farmed in the Orange City area until retiring in the fall of 1955. Mr. Wielenga passed away on March 13, 1976.

Mrs. Wielenga had been a resident of the Pioneer Home for the last four years and for the past month had been a resident of the Heritage House.

She was a member of the First Christian Reformed Church, Zangkoor and an associate member of the Thy Kingdom Come Ladies Society.

Survivors include three sons, Louis N., Gary J. and Ernest J., all of Orange City; one daughter, Mrs. Henry B. (Marietta) Mulder of Orange City; 12 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; a stepmother, Mrs. Gerrit (Elizabeth) Kroeze; two sisters, Mrs. Herbert (Jessie) Huisman and Mrs. Andrew (Rena) Huisman, both of Orange City; a brother, Peter of Orange City; six half-sisters, Mrs. Peter (Lucy) Faber, Mrs. Marinus (Wilma) Fedders, Mrs. Marion (Gertrude) Wiersma, Mrs. Bob (Tillie) Newendorp, Mrs. Albert (Jack) De Haan, all of Orange City, Mrs. Ken (Elizabeth) Vander Berg of Phoenix, Ariz., and a half-brother, Steve, of Orange City.

She was preceded in death by her husband, two brothers, one sister and one half-brother.
