Funeral services for Dick (Douwe) Visser 88, who died at his home at Doon Thursday afternoon, were held at 1 o'clock at the house and 1:30 at the First Reformed Church of Doon Monday afternoon. Interment was at the Hull Cemetery.

Mr. Visser, father of Henry Visser of Hawarden, had been seriously ill for about five weeks.

Born in The Netherlands, January 13, 1866. He came to this country as a boy. He married Gertrude Vander Schaaf October 11, 1894, and they would have celebrated their 60th anniversary this fall.

The family moved to Doon from Orange City in 1908 where he was engaged in the harness business from which he retired several years ago.

Survivors are the widow and all of their 12 children, Mrs. Stella Ross of Hanley Falls, Minn.; Miss Sadie Visser and Mrs. Harry O'Neill of Sioux City; Mrs. John Van't Hull, Pipestone, Minn.; Henry Visser, Hawarden, Arthur Visser of George; Mrs. Rudy Jantzen, Rock Rapids; Mrs. Arthur Graham Hull; Mrs. Leslie Young, Albert City; Mrs.Don Bosacker and Donald Visser of Los Angeles, Calif. and Perry E. Visser , Riverside Calif.

Also surving is one sister, Mrs. L. J. Moret of Chandler Minn., and 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
