Art Zevenbergen, age 80, of Sibley, Iowa, passed away on Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at the Country View Manor in Sibley.

Memorial Services will be Saturday, August 31, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at Salem Reformed Church in Little Rock, Iowa. Rev. Mike Weaver and Rev. David Vanderlaan officiating.

Graveside Services will be Saturday, August 31 at 9:00 A.M. at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Sioux Center, Iowa.

Visitation will be Friday, August 30 from 1:00 to 8:00 P.M. with the family present from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Andringa Funeral Home in Sibley.

Arthur Frederick Zevenbergen was born on November 8, 1932 in Hospers, Iowa. He was the son of William and Fanney (Haugens) Zevenbergen. He lived his youth in Sioux Center, Iowa, where he attended the Christian Grade School. He served in the United States Army for two years during the Korean Conflict and was honorably discharged.

He was united in marriage to Esther Horstman on February 18, 1953. They lived in rural Sioux Center, Iowa. In 1972, Art retired from farming and they moved to Sioux Center. Esther passed away on February 12, 1988. Art was employed by Zevenbergen Plumbing and Heating, working with his brother. In 1986, he was employed by Quality Home Sales in Sioux Center.

He was united in marriage to Elizabeth (Vander Veen) De Bondt of Ocheyedan, Iowa on January 26, 1990. They lived in Sioux Center. Art retired and they wintered in Mc Allen, Texas for 15 years. In 2004, they moved to Little Rock, Iowa. In 2008, Art moved to the Rock Rapids Care Center and later to Country View Manor in Sibley.

Art enjoyed fishing, woodworking, going to flea markets, playing cards and traveling. He especially loved to be with his grandchildren and family.

He passed away on Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at the Country View Manor in Sibley.
Those left to cherish his memories are his wife Elizabeth Zevenbergen of Little Rock, IA; one daughter and son-in-law Leanne and Greg Parker of Canton, SD; two sons and daughters-in-law Daniel and Linda Zevenbergen of Orange City, IA, Duane and Genell Zevenbergen of Sioux Center, IA; 8 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 5 step-children, 19 step-grandchildren and 17 step-great-grandchildren; one brother Allen and wife Tylene Zevenbergen of Sioux City, IA; two sisters-in-law Gertrude Zevenbergen of Hull, IA, Arta Zevenbergen of Sioux Center, IA.

He was preceded in death by his wife Esther, his parents and two brothers John Zevenbergen and Marion Zevenbergen.
