Henry W. Wynia, 67 years old, of rural Rock Valley, died Tuesday, May 7, at Hegg Memorial Hospital of Rock Valley. Services were Friday at 1:30pm at the First Christian Reformed Church of Rock Valley. Burial was at the Valley View Cemetery in Rock Valley. The Rev. C. Eric Fennema and the Rev. Fred Gunnink officiated.

Henry was born June 20, 1923, at Rock Valley. He was the son of William and Jennie (Vugteveen) Wynia. He married Johanna C. Landegent January 4, 1946, at Rock Valley. They farmed near Carmel and Rock Valley.

Henry was a member of the First Christian Reformed Church and held office as Elder and Deacon, and as a member of the Rock Valley Christian School Board.

Surviving relatives include his wife, Johanna; four sons, John of Doon; Wilmer and Dennis of Rock Valley; and Henry of Sioux Center; sisters Lydia De Boer of Rock Valley and Wilma Altena of George; sister-in-law Joyce Vander Well of Hull; and 16 grandchildren.

Henry was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Pier, and one brother-in-law, Art De Boer.
