Mr. Frank Wynia passed away at his home on Monday morning, April 14, 1947 following a lingering illness due to cancer. He had been ailing for about a year and submitted to a major operation at the Sacred Heart hospital at Le Mars last fall. He became seriously ill the early part of last week.

Mr. Wynia was born on a farm near Maurice and when a boy of six years of age, his parents moved to the farm southwest of Sioux Center where he spent all of the rest of his days, passing away Monday morning at the age of 60 years, 8 months, 2 days.
On November 19, 1915, he was united in marriage to Miss Johanna Rodenburgh. Rev. Lubbers united them in marriage at Sioux Center.

He is now survived by his widow and the following six children: Louis ot Ireton, Cornie of Hawarden and Tena, Martin, who was in the service for 20 mos., Melvin and Frances at home.

He is further survived by four grandchildren, a brother Sam Wynia, and two sisters, Mrs. Chris Van Schepen of Hull and Mrs. Cornie De Boom of Middleburg.

Two brothers preceded him in death, both passing away in infancy.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday afternoon, April 17 at 12:45 o'clock at the home and at 1:30 o'clock at the First Reformed Church. Rev. Harsevoort, pastor of the Ireton Reformed Church where Mr. Wynia was a member, will officiate at the services.

Burial will take place in the family plot in the local cemetery and acting as pall bearers will be Al Van Riessen, Gerrit De Vries, Jake Altena, Wm. Gesink, Ted Smit and Alvin Mulder.
