Mrs. Fred Trudeau, a resident of Hawarden and vicinity for many years, passed away at her home near Alcester at 1:30 Monday afternoon. Mrs. Trudeau had been in frail health for many years and for the past six weeks was bedfast.

Funeral services will be held at the Catholic church at Beresford at 9 o'clock Friday morning with the Rev. P.A. Kielty in charge. Interment will be made at Elk Point.

Eda Seguin was born on a farm a few miles southwest of Hawarden in Union county, S.D., Sept. 24, 1876, and passed away June 21, 1942, at the age of 66 years, 8 months and 27 days. She grew to young womanhood on the farm and was married to Fred Trudeau 45 years ago. Following her marriage, she lived at Elk Point for a time, after which she lived on a farm near Alcester. In 1919, she came to Hawarden with her family. She lived in this city for 14 years and then returned to Alcester, which had been her home since that time.

She was the mother of nice children, eight of whom, with her husband, survive her. The children are Mrs. Ross Hoard of Centerville, S.D.; Ferman Trudeau, who is in the navy at Greenwich, R.I.; Mrs. Everett Coyle of Akron; Dorothy Trudeau of North Hollywood, Calif.; Leander, who is in the army at Tampa, Fla.; Leonard and Lois Trudeau and Mrs. Milton Toft of Alcester. She also leaves two sisters and six brothers, Ameda and Osias Seguin of Detroit, Mich.; Mrs. Clara Kline of Scotland, S.D.; Mrs. Mary Dutcher of Vermillion, S.D.; Phillip Seguin of Sioux Falls, and George Seguin of Elk Point.

Mrs. Trudeau made many friends when she resided in Hawarden and who will regret to learn of her death.
