Mrs. Johanna G. Wynia, 66, died Jan. 11, Monday morning at the Sioux Center Community hospital after a lengthy illness.

Funeral services were held January 14 at 1:30pm at the Vander Ploeg Funeral home and at 2:00pm at the First Reformed Church at Rock Valley with the Rev. C. Huissen and Rev. M. Nelson officiating. Burial was made in the Valley View cemetery.

Mrs. Wynia was born, August 18, 1893, at LeMars. That same year the family moved to Rock Valley. She married February 18, 1914, to John Wynia who preceded her in death June 1, 1936. Three children were born to this union, one of whom died in infancy. She spent most of her life in the Rock Valley Community.

Survivors include two sons; Charles and Pier J., both of Rock Valley; three brothers, John C. of Rock Valley and Gerrit of Norwalk, Calif., and Charles of Bellflower, Calif.; two sisters, Dena, Mrs. John Van Gelderen of Sanborn and Jessie, Mrs. Martin Monthuis of Hardwick, Minn., and six grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister.
