Erva G. Markley

Erva G. Raynie Markley, 85, of Sioux City, formerly of Hawarden, died Monday, March 11, 2002 at the Indian Hills Care Center in Sioux City.

Funeral service was Wednesday, at Porter Funeral
Home in Hawarden, with the Rev. Dean Shelly officiating. Burial was in Grace Hill Cemetery at Hawarden. Porter Funeral Home was in charge of arrangments.

Erva Markley was born Sept. 3,1916, near Ireton, to Allen P. and Minnie N. (Thompson) Lemonds. She married Doyle Raynie in 1937. Mr. Raynie died in 1951. She later married Harlan Markley in 1956 and moved to Marathon, Iowa. Mr. Markley died in 1993.

Survivors include four children: Preston of Sioux City, Byron of San Antonia, Marlin of Sioux City and Linda Michael of Westminster, Colo.; and two granddaughters.

She was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; two brothers and a sister.
