Rev. John Wesselink D.D. of Holland, Mich., passed away at Pine Rest hospital at Grand Rapids, Mich., on Saturday evening at the age of 78. He had been a patient at Pine Rest since July 1952.

Rev. Wesselink was born and raised on a farm southeast of Sioux Center where the John Hubers family now resides. He graduated from the academy at Orange City, Hope College and Western Seminary. He also taught at the Orange City academy and held pastorates at the Reformed churches of South Holland, Ill., Maurice, Iowa., Pella, Iowa, and Witchert, Ill. He was President of Central college at Pella from 1929-1935.

Survivors include the widow and a son William, who is dean of Beuna Vista college at Storm Lake, also two grandchildren and an only brother Henry Wesselink of Sioux Center.

He was preceded in death by a daughter Elizabeth, Mrs. John Hauck of Ontario, Canada, who died in 1940.
