Mrs. Sena Werkman, widow of Dr. D.J. Werkman, died Tuesday, Sept. 12, 1950 at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids. She was born January 18, 1868 at Holland, Mich. Mrs. Sena Werkman had lived in Cedar Rapids for 30 years. She and her late husband, a retired physician and mayor of Hull, Iowa had left Hull with their family in 1920.

Dr. Werkman died in Cedar Rapids in 1937. From 1892 to 1920 Dr. and Mrs. Werkman resided in Hull where Dr. Werkman practiced medicine for 28 years.

The following children mourn the loss of a loving mother; Effie, Mrs. Nick Vander Kooi of Sharon, Wisconsin; Etta, Mrs. Albert De Wild of Boyden; Margaret, Mrs. George Gunger of Chicago; John Werkman of Chicago and Edward Werkman of Los Angeles; a brother Simon De Boer of Holland, Mich., a sister-in-law, Miss Gertrude Werkman of Cedar Rapids, a brother-in-law Cornelius Van Zee of Orange City; 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted in the Turner Chapel in Cedar Rapids Thursday afternoon by the Rev. Allan E. Schoff, and on Saturday afternoon services were held at the American Reformed Church in Hull with Rev. J. Bovenkerk in charge. Burial took place in the Hull cemetery.
