The Herald has mentioned the illness of Mr. Zwang from time to time, but it was little thought that his life was immediate danger by the public. Mr. Zwang was taken ill seven weeks ago while traveling in Nebraska and two weeks later came to Orange City with his wife and little daughter to rest up a while. In spite of the best medical skill he grew rapidly worse until relieved by death on Sunday afternoon, June 12th, at the home of his mother-in-law, Mrs. A.J. Lenderink of this city. Death resulted from some disease of the liver and other complications.

Deceased was born in Amsterdam, Holland, in 1858, came to this country when sixteen years of age, settling in Chicago, and has been a traveling salesman for twenty years- the greater portion of this time he was with Standard Oil Company, but at the time he was taken sick he was traveling for the Penn Oil Company. He was 46 years of age at time of his death and leaves a wife and a little daughter, Mildred, three years old to mourn his demise. He was married to his wife, Miss Mary Mak, at Council Bluffs in September, 1896, and they have frequently visited their relatives here, where Mr. Zwang had formed a number of acquaintances who held him in the highest esteem, and express the deepest sympathy for the bereaved wife and fatherless little daughter.

The funeral was held yesterday afternoon at 2’clock from the family residences, the services being conducted by the Rev. J.P. Winter, and the remains were laid to rest in the Orange City cemetery. The pall bearers were: George C. Oolrich, G.L. Van de Stoeg, C.L. Wilcox, William Sterrenberg, Walter Brewater, P.J. De Krulf
