Robert Lamberton Supplee was the son of George and Ruth L. (Lamberton) Supplee, who were missionaries to India. He graduated from high school in India, attended college in Wheaton, Illinois, and received his Masters Degree from the American Conservatory of Music in Chicago, Ill. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.

On August 14, 1954, he married Kathryn Louise (Cawthorne) in Mishawaka, Indiana. They made their home in Michigan, where he was a music teacher in public schools from 1956-1985. In 1989, they moved to Orange City, where he was employed by Angel Aircraft Corporation.

Bob attended Dover Avenue Alliance Church, where he was the leader of The Dover Brass. He was involved in musical activities of Orange City churches and the community, especially Tulip Festival productions.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters and their husbands, Carol and John Segard of Belmont, Michigan, and Donna and Ed Mortenson of Orange City; two sons, Ed Supplee and his wife, Janice, of Cedarville, Ohio; and Gary Supplee of Ann Arbor, Michigan; nine grandchildren, Ryan, Kayla, Heidi and Dane Segard; Kaleb, David, Kara and Isaac Mortenson; and Ben Supplee; a brother and his wife, G. William and Joyce Supplee of Columbia, South Carolina; and two sisters, Helen Jongewaard of Sheldon, Iowa; and Jean and her husband Don Crider, of Huntingdon, Penn.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter; Amanda Ruth Segard; and a brother-in-law Dr. Robert E. Jongewaard.
Memorials are being directed to The Kings Engineering Fellowship.
