Funeral Services for Adrian Haverhals, 79, former Hawarden farmer who died at a Sioux Center Hospital Saturday following a long illness, were held at 1:30 Tuesday at the Bethel Christian Reformed Church at Sioux Center.

Rev Clarence Vander Plate officiated with burial in the Lebanon cemetery west of Sioux Center. He resided at Sioux Center the past 13 years.

Mr. Haverhals was born in The Netherlands on April 1, 1884. He married Clara Glimmerveen in Rotterdam on April 8, 1914.

They came to the United States in 1919 and farmed six years at Ireton. They then moved to the Hawarden vicinity, farming in this area about 25 years. She died here May 11, 1941.

Survivors include one son, Severt Haverhals of Hawarden; four daughters, Mrs. Peter Vos of Hudson, Miss Bertha Haverhals of Sioux Center, Mrs. Wilbur Huenink of Ireton, and Mrs. Marvin Huenink of Alcester; two brothers, John and Peter, and a sister, Mrs. Nellie Van Berkel, all of Sioux Center; 15 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
