Wilhelmina “Minnie” Zwiers was born to Albert and Janna (Brinkhuis) Zwiers on November 11, 1916 in Holland, Minnesota. She married Edward Zwart on January 18, 1940. Together they farmed near Steen, Montana, Sherman, South Dakota and Hawarden, Iowa. Ed went to be with the Lord July 29, 1973.

Minnie was involved in her church groups, Bible Studies, Christian School Projects and loved gospel music. She enjoyed embroidery, sewing, baking, gardening, playing dominoes with family and friends. Minnie had a God-given gift of hospitality which she shared generously.

Minnie went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, October 5, 2006 at Hillcrest Health Care Center, Hawarden, Iowa. She was 89 years of age.

Minnie is survived by 5 sons and one daughter: Ron and Ruth Zwart, Delbert and Betty Zwart all of Hawarden, Merlin and Beverly Zwart, Sioux Center, Iowa, Verlyn and Donna Zwart, Hawarden, Gerald and Jane Zwart, Inwood, Iowa and Julie and Louie Wynia, Hawick, Minnesota; 25 grandchildren with 23 spouses and 44 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ed; great-grandson, Timothy Zwart; sisters: Fannie Vos, Bertha Kamstra and Dena De Yager.
