Died: 12-28-1980

Henry G. De Haan, 75, of Orange City died Sunday, Dec. 28, at a hospital in Orange City.

Services were at 10:30am Wednesday at the First Reformed Church. The Rev. Frank Snuttjer and the Rev. William Colenbrander officiated. Burial was in West Lawn Cemetery under direction of the Van Gelder Funeral Home.

Mr. De Haan was born Sept. 15, 1905, in Orange City. He was a lifelong Orange City and Alton area resident.

He married Margaret Plender Feb. 25, 1926, in Alton. They moved into Orange City in 1967 and she died June 9, 1975.

He was a member of the First Reformed Church.

Survivors include three sons, Glenn of Alton and Lee and Roger both of Orange City; 13 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; five brothers, Chris of Rock Rapids, Gary of Sun City, Calif., Marion of Orange City, Bernard of Sioux Falls S.D. and S. John of Des Moines; and a sister, Mrs. Ann Roetman of Orange City.
