Nellie M. De Haan, 90, of Orange City, died Friday, May 22, at the Heritage House Nursing Home in Orange City.

Services were May 25 at American Reformed Church in Orange City. The Rev. Keith Krebs and the Rev. Marlin Vander Wilt officiated. Burial was in West Lawn Cemetery in Orange City.

Born Nellie Van Horssen on November 5, 1896 at Orange City. The couple farmed at Alton until 1934 when they moved to Orange City. She was a dietitian and head cook at Northwestern College for 25 years. Her husband died in December 1964 at Orange City. In 1983 she moved into Heritage House.

She was a member of American Reformed Church.

Survivors include a son, Franklin "Bob" of Orange City; a daughter, Lorna Visser of Orange City; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
