Harriet Zwaan, 53, died Monday, February 17, at the Haas Hillcrest Center in Hawarden.

Funeral services will be at 10 A.M. Wednesday, February 19, at the Vander Ploeg Chapel in Sioux Center. Burial will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Sioux Center.

Harriet Zwaan was born September 17, 1943, in Patterson, New Jersey, to Nick and Jennie (Juffer) Zwaan. She came with her mother to Iowa in 1977 and became a resident at the Hope Haven Residential Training Center in Orange City. She became a resident at the Haas Hillcrest Center in Hawarden in January 1995, where she remained until her death. She was a member of Immanuel Christian Reformed Church, Orange City.

She is survived by several cousins in the area. She was preceded in death by her mother on August 19, 1993.
