Christine Vander Hamm, 101, of Ireton died Tuesday, December 13, at Brentwood Good Samaritan Center in Le Mars.

Services were at 10:30 a.m., Friday, December 16, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Ireton with the Rev. Mark Carnahan officiating. Burial was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

She was born March 9, 1887, in Reading Township near Ireton. After the death of her parents, she was a housekeeper in the Ireton area. In 1971 she moved to Le Mars and entered the nursing home in 1980.

She was an active member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church where she sang in the choir and served many years as organist.

Survivors include three nieces, Lela Molmen of Minneapolis, Minnesota; Louella Schiltz of Le Mars, and Marcella Carl of Sheldon.
