Funeral services for Anton Treiber, 81, who made his home with his daughter, Mrs. Millie Dietz, in Hawarden, were held Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church at Danbury, Iowa. Rev. Fr. Richard V. Sweeney officiated with burial in the church cemetery.

The rosary was recited at 8 o'clock Sunday night at the Fitzpatrick Funeral Home in Danbury.

Mr. Treiber died Friday at a Sioux City Hospital where he had been a patient a short time. He had been a long time invalid.

Mr. Treiber was born April 13, 1882 near Danbury. He married Nellie Rosauer February 29, 1911, at Danbury. She died in April 1933.

The couple farmed near Danbury and were longtime residents of that community.

Survivors include two sons, Virgil of Danbury, and Frank of Newport News, Va.; three daughters, Mrs. Dietz of Hawarden, Mrs. Robert Calhoon of Long Beach, Calif. and Mrs. Robert Gray of Glendive, Mont.; a sister, Mrs. A.J. Bowern of Battle Creek; a brother, Fred of Danbury; eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
