Cathi Jo Winterfeld, 18, of Sioux Center died Sunday in a Sioux City hospital of injuries suffered in a two-vehicle accident in rural Sioux Center.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Peace Lutheran Church in rural Sioux Center with the Rev. Ron Nelson officiating. Burial will be in Peace Lutheran Cemetery under direction of Vander Ploeg Funeral Home of Sioux Center.

Miss Winterfeld was born December 7, 1968, in Sioux Center. She graduated from Sioux Center High School in May 1987 where she was active in Pep Club and FHA and served on the Annual staff. She was a class officer and was active in drama and musical activities. She also served as librarian. She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church.

Miss Winterfeld was chosen 1987 Sioux County Fair Queen and was currently enrolled in Nettleton Business College in Sioux Falls, S.D.

Survivors include her parents, Donald and Claudia Winterfeld; three brothers, Doug, David, and Dan; a sister, Mrs. Calvin (Sherri) De Ruyter; paternal grandmother, Martha Winterfeld and maternal grandparents, Harvey and Ev De Raad, all of Sioux Center.
