Died December 10, 1995Elmer F. Winterfeld, 86, of rural Sioux Center died Sunday, December 10 at his home.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, December 13, at Peace Lutheran Church, rural Sioux Center with the Rev. Henry Flessner officiating. Burial will be in Peace Lutheran Cemetery.
Winterfeld was born July 28, 1909, on the family farm in Plato Township, rural Sioux Center. He was baptized and confirmed at Peace Lutheran Church. He married Marie De Bondt on August 30, 1945 at Peace Lutheran Church. The couple farmed on the family homestead.
He was a lifelong member of Peace Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his wife, two sons, Robert of Saint Francis, Minnesota, and Terry and his wife Cathy of rural Sioux Center; a daughter Amelia and her husband Claude Wolken of Marshalltown; a brother Rudy Winterfeld of Sioux Falls; six grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by four brothers, Henry John, Louis, Lawrence, and Marvin; and three sisters, Matilda, Linda, and Clara.
