Mrs. Nellie De Hoogh, 77, of Sheldon died Saturday, June 3, in the Sheldon hospital.

Services were held Tuesday in the First Reformed Church in Sheldon with Dr. Warren Hietbrink of officiating. Burial was in East Lawn Cemetery under direction of the Vander Ploeg Funeral Home in Sheldon.

Mrs. De Hoogh, the former Nellie Van Rennes, was born Sept. 28, 1911 in Bennekom, the Netherlands. She came to the United States in 1921 and lived in Sioux Center, Hospers and Sheldon. She graduated from Hospers High School in 1930 and married Theodore De Hoogh Jr. June 9, 1938 in Nashua.

Mrs. De Hoogh was a member of First Reformed Church and Ladies Aid of the Church. She taught Sunday School for a number of years.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Mrs. Dios (Virginia) Kavvadias of Omaha; a son, Ted M. De Hoogh of Sioux Center; three sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Biedebacvh of Huntington Beach, Calif., Mrs. Margaret De Bruin of Sioux Center and MShe was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers.
