Mrs. Michael Doherty, 76, of Inwood, died Sunday, November 21, at Canton S.D., nursing home following a long illness.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, November 23, in the St. Mary's Catholic Church Larchwood, with the Rev. E. Fangman officiating. Burial was in the parish cemetery under thedirection of Porter Funeral Home. Rosary was recited Monday, November 22, 8:00pm in the funeral home.

The former Mary R. Allen was born on December 20, 1894 at Alvord. She married Michael Doherty on October 3, 1917 at Alvord. He preceded her in death on February 9, 1965. They farmed in Rock Valley, Alvord and Larchwood areas.

Survivors are three sons, Donald of Inwood, Gerlad of Flushing, Mich., and Robert of Larchwood; four daughters, Mrs. Elmer Oetken of Merrill, Ia., Mrs. Berard Kippley of Alvord, Mrs. Mark Carmon of Sioux Falls, S.D. and Mrs. Jerome Wasik of Detroit, Mich.; two brothers Clem Allen of Alvord and Inwood; 37 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
