Funeral services were held at First Reformed Church here at 1:30pm Wednesday May 29, for Gerrit John Leusink, 59, of Sioux Center, who died at the Sioux Center Community hospital May 26 after a long illness.

Services were conducted by the Rev. Jack Boerigter and burial was in Memory Gardens Cemetery here under the direction of Vander Ploeg's Funeral Home.

Mr. Leusink was born at Hospers November 26, 1914. He married Genevieve Den Herder January 27, 1950, at Sioux Center, and the couple had since farmed in this vicinity.

Survivors include the widow; four daughters, Irene of Michigan City, Ind., Helen, Thelma and Joyce, all at home; four sons, Claire, Arlin, Dennis and Marvin, all at home; four sisters, Mrs. John (Henrietta) Driesen of Rock Valley; Mrs. Ed (Hattie) Berghorst of Hull, Mrs. Steve (Katherine) Vos of Lakewood, Calif., Miss Jeanette Leusink of Sioux Center, and two brothers, William Leusink of Hull and Gerrit Henry Leusink of Orange City.
