Donna Vande Vegte, 65, Rock Valley, died Wednesday, Oct. 29, at Sioux Center Community Hospital.

Services were Monday, Nov. 3, at First Reformed Church in Rock Valley, with the Rev. Mike Van Hamersveld officiating. Burial was at Valley View Cemetery in Rock Valley, under the direction of Porter Funeral Home in Rock Valley.

Donna Vande Vegte, daughter of Fred and Tena (Zigtema) Vogelzang, was born Oct. 9, 1938, in Rock Valley. She graduated from Rock Valley High School. She married Arnie Vande Vegte on June 5, 1959, in Rock Valley. They lived in Sioux Center until loving back to Rock Valley in 1971. She worked at Hope Haven Group House for 20 years.

Survivors include her husband, Arnie Vande Vegte of Rock Valley; three sons, Norman and Deb Vande Vegte of Rock Valley, Jeff and Cornine Vande Vegte of Rock Valley, and Kevin and Kim Vande Vegte of LeMars; two daughters, Lisa Vande Vegte of Sioux Falls, SD, and Marnie and Kevin Teppen of Minneapolis; 12 grandchildren; her mother, Tena Vogelzang of Rock Valley, two brothers, Bud Vogelzang of Sioux Center, and Steve and Jane Vogelzang of Ames; and a sister, Judy and Doug De Graff of Colorado.

She was preceded in death by his father, Fred Vogelzang; a sister, Marlene; and her favorite aunt, Dub Rozeboom.
