Funeral services for Mrs. Al Vande Vegte, 78, were held at 1:30 Monday, July 29, at the Porter Funeral home with Rev. James Brinkhuis officiating.

She was found in her home Wednesday morning by a neighbor. It is thought that she died about 48 hours earlier, of a heart attack.

Burial was in the Valley View Cemetery in Rock Valley.

Mrs. Vande Vegte, nee Jennie Van Gravenhoff was born at Sioux Center, July 1, 1885 and lived most of her life in the Rock Valley area.

Her husband and a daughter preceded her in death.

Survivors include two sons, Henry A. of Artesia, Calif., and Harry of Luverne, Minn, a sister, Mrs. Gerrit Scholten of Steen, Minn., and a brother, John Van Gravenhoff and Austin, Minn., and nine grandchildren.
