Mrs. Jerry Bonnema, formerly of this vicinity, but now of Rock Rapids, was in Hawarden Tuesday on her way to Chicago where she was called by the death of her brother, John Bonnema, who passed away Monday.

Mr. Bonnema was taken ill while visiting in the Jerry Bonnema home in Rock Rapids recently and when he returned to Chicago it was discovered that he was suffering from a brain tumor. Funeral services will be held Thursday in Chicago.

The deceased was 50 years old and spent his life in Chicago. He leaves a wife, Ida (Boss) Bonnema and one son. He is also survived by his mother, Mrs. J. Van Dahm of Chicago and seven sisters and brothers, Mrs. Jerry Bonnema of Rock Rapids; T. Van Dahm of Holland, Michigan; and Barney Swieregna, Mrs. S. Bus, Mrs. Martin Feiling, J. Van Dahm and Mrs. Albert Bergama of Chicago.
