Services were held for Grace Dyke Treneman, 82, McMinnville, Ore., and a former Orange City resident, last Thursday. Rev. Jack Hodges presided at the First Presbyterian Church in McMinnville. She died July 16 at Hillside Manor in McMinnville.

Mrs. Treneman was born in Orange City to Charles L. and Gertrude Maris Dyke on Dec. 4, 1902. She graduated from the University of Iowa in 1925 with a degree in elementary education.

She married James H. Treneman in Iowa City on June 2, 1926. She and her family moved to Newport, Wash., in 1954 and in August of 1984 she moved to McMinnville, Ore.

She was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority and a life member and worker in the Republican Party. The Trenemans had celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary in January.

She was preceded in death in 1977 by her son, former McMinnville physician Dr. James D, Treneman.

Survivors include her husband, James H. Treneman, McMinnville, a brother, Dr. Lester Dyke, Washington, D.C., a sister, Esther Hicks, Sun City, Ariz., a daughter-in-law, Beverly A. Treneman, McMinnville, grandchildren, Ann Treneman Meade of England, Nancy C, Treneman of Corvallis, Ore., Joan Treneman Horton of Monmouth, Ore., and Mary C. Treneman, McMinnville, Ore., and two great grandchildren.
