Adam Vander Bok, 80, Rock Valley, died Thursday, March 25, 1993, in McAllen Medical Center, McAllen Texas.

Mr. Vander Bok was born March 14, 1913, in Rock Valley. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II from Nov. 20, 1942, until Jan. 18, 1946. He married Leone De Graaf Jan. 16, 1948, in Sheldon, IA. They lived in Rock Valley where he was in partnership with John Kersbergen in V & K Plumbing and Heating. He retired in 1978 and they spent the last 15 winters in Mission, Texas.

He was a member of Rock Valley VFW.

Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Randy (Linda) Peterson, Minneapols; two grandchildren; one brother, Henry Vander Bok, Holland, Mich.; one brother-in-law, Tom Vanden Bosch, Rock Valley, Iowa; and two sisters-in-law: Coba Vander Bok, Rock Valley; and Kay Vander Bok,
Grandville, Mich.

Services were held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Rock alley, with burial in Valley View Cemetery, Rock Valley. Porter Funeral Home of Rock Valley was in charge of arrangements.
