Alton Democrat of June 26 , 1915

Isaac Kuyper (actually Kuipers) died at his home in Alton Tuesday June 22 at the age of forty-five years of cancer, from which he has been a sufferer for some time.

Deceased was born in the Netherlands in 1870. He served as a soldier from the Netherlands in India where he contracted malaria and had to leave. He has lived in Alton for a number of years and at the time of his death was employed as a section foreman.

He leaves a wife and little son to mourn his death. The funeral was held Thursday afternoon from the Reformed church, Rev. Engelsman of Orange City officiating.

Besides his wife and son he is survived by three brothers, Gerrit of Hull and John and Mike of Alton and his aged father (Rinse Kuipers) at Hull. The bereaved wife and relatives have the sympathy of the community in their loss.
