From the May 2, 1967 LeMars Daily Sentinel:

Loy B. Keough, 73, a former resident of the Maurice community, died Monday morning at a Sioux City nursing home after a long illness.

Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph church, Struble, with Rev. Richard Kielbasa officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary cemetery, Maurice.

The rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Wiltgen-Luedtke funeral home in LeMars.

Mr. Keough was born Aug. 16, 1893, at Maurice, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Keough, pioneer Sioux county farmers. He farmed in that community for many years before moving to Sioux City 30 years ago.

Surviving is one brother, Leo H. Keough of Sioux City.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Verne and Frank B. Keough.
